Student Support Compliance Manager Job Summary
The Student Support Compliance Manager role is an integral part of the Student Support Team ensuring full compliance with all federal and state regulations at the campus or school levels. The starting salary range for this role is $78436$85256. This is a fulltime headquarters schoolbased role that involves traveling throughout the school day to various campuses with an anticipated start date of July 2025.

About the RoleThis role is perfect for someone who has excellent attention to detail and can explain processes to others. You will ensure that KIPP DCs overall compliance with student support services regulations is 100 in compliance. In this role you will work closely with our student support services staff special education teachers and school leaders to ensure that students with individualized education plans and 504s are set up for success by ensuring our paperwork is 100 compliant.Location and Type of WorkThis is a exempt position and will report to the Associate Director of Student Support Compliance. As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for inperson support which requires this position to be fully onsite. This role is currently required to be onsite or in schools during regular work hours.ResponsibilitiesDrive Compliance 40
- Support and train case managers to abide by Idea and local regulations
- Provide technical assistance to staff members in order to comply with the ADA and Section 504.
- Ensure student support services staff abide by IDEA and local regulations
- Oversee compliance of student support services files 100
- Own scheduling and holding IEP SEP Eligibility and 504 meetings in a timely manner
- Maintain 100 compliance in the special programs special education database system
- Provide professional development and support to case managers 30 teachers) to gather and analyze data (assessments grades observations teacher comments etc. prior to requesting evaluations and input information into SEDS
- Work closely with school psychologists and other related service providers to ensure assessments are completed in a timely manner
- Coordinate the implementation of accommodations on state and local testing in collaboration with school teams
- Collaborate with the case manager and Director on due process actions
- Participate and support KIPP DC attorneys and attorneys representing students with disabilities
- Coordinate the dissemination and collection of Medicaid related documents to parents and other stakeholders
- Coordinate the alternate assessment for students with disabilities
- Provide technical support and training on the Special Programs system to staff (including case managers and related service providers)
Chair Multidisciplinary Team 40:- Facilitate and Serve as the Local education Representative in all MultiDisciplinary Team meetings at their campus
- Support case managers and/or chairs complex cases including those with legal representation as needed
- Take comprehensive meeting notes and/or monitors notes taken by case managers; records dissenting opinions
- Receive and review monthly reports on the status of outstanding IEP documentation
- Ensure and provide technical assistance so that case managers have the proper paperwork for meetings and that the followthrough after the meeting is completed timely and efficiently.
Ensure Academic Progress 10- Ensure IEPs are compliant with federal and district regulations goals are standards based and relevant for the individual student and present levels of performance are appropriate and current.
- Facilitate databased discussions to help the MDT design IEPs to best support student growth.
Perform other related duties as assigned 10- Serve as the face of the student support team at your campus to all parents school leaders staff and community members.
- Distribute weekly memos to school teams and facilitate department meetings when needed
- Facilitate small group and whole staff professional development on an as needed basis
- Attend professional development workshops conferences and meetings to stay abreast of current topics in student support services
- Manage small and large scale projects as assigned by the Student Support Director of Compliance such as MSAA testing or Non public program
- Serve as a fulltime and engaged member of KIPP DCs staff including activities like attendance to teacher/staff meetings accompanying students on field lessons assisting with student recruitment and enrichment activities and working with other staff members to ensure fulfillment of KIPP DCs mission.
Requirements & PreferencesRequired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- At least 3 years of relevant special education experience and a masters in related field OR at least 3 years of special education case management experience
- Experience teaching special education
- Certified in special education or hold a masters in special education
- Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders throughout a school
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading complex special education meetings (highly preferred)
- Selfstarter with customer service experience and relationship management skills
