Dual Language and Emergent Bilingual Coordinator
Credentials:
Elementary or Secondary Certification
Certification or Endorsement in Bilingual Education (preferred)
Administration Certification (preferred)
Experience Required:
A minimum of five 5 years of successful teaching experience.
Leadership experience
Experience with EL and Testing
Curriculum Writing/Data Analysis Experience
Experience in assessment
Knowledge of appropriate interventions at Tier I Tier II and Tier III levels

Position Summary:The Dual Language and Curriculum Specialist will serve within the Curriculum Department and will work to positively impact student learning and achievement. This will include participation in school improvement efforts assisting with curriculum development and alignment common assessment creation (formative and summative) analyzing data providing professional development improving curriculum effectiveness by using data to improve instruction and instructional effectiveness.

In a typical Workday employee mustbe able to sit stand and walk for 8 hours. Job requires occasional bending/stooping squatting/crouching crawling/kneeling reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling. Job requires occasional carrying/lifting up to 15 pounds and occasionally moving tables and boxes of written materials or paper.
Job requires employee to use both hands for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping andfine manipulation. Employee must possess manual dexterity and visual ability to read write typeoperate a computer and to supervise. Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to communicate in person and on the phone both individually and with groups of students staff parentsand community members. Employee must have mobility enough to monitor areas of the building and grounds if necessary and attend meetings outside the building. Employee must have mental ability to communicate with supervise teachers/administrators and manage the district and to think criticallyand make important decisions under stress.
Job could require working outdoors if supervising or monitoring: use of and proximity tooffice equipment and occasional contact with violent or disruptive students patrons or staff.
