The Capital Asset and Equipment Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the readiness and availability of ForTec Medical equipment and accessories for field deployment. This role oversees the lifecycle of medical instrument repairs manages vendor relationships related to repair programs ensures asset availability asset modification and administers all capital equipment purchases.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage vendor quote requests equipment and accessories ordering
- Uncrate and prep new equipment for installation and PM; prepare assets and accessories with requisite standardized items for field use; re-crate equipment to mobilize to ForTec locations
- Create and maintain asset records submit paperwork to Accounts Payables in proprietary asset tracking/billing software
- Coordinate asset/accessory shipments to the field refresh and replace mobilization accessories on existing assets as needed and communicate asset tracking to Operations
- Manage the tracking of incoming and outgoing instrument repairs and maintain the inventory of loaner instruments
- Perform in-house repairs when possible report on repair costs quarterly
- Work with brokers to find older model equipment/accessories needed
- Manage capital purchases against the budget purchase and sell equipment as needed
- Run weekly cross-departmental meetings to review incoming assets and mobilization plans
- Order and maintain stock of supplies that ship with asset deployments order and fill requests for supplies requested by the Operations Dept.
- Work with cross-functional teams to assist in design projects to modify equipment/accessories to make them mobilization-ready
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Excellent customer service skills and organizational & time management skills to meet shipping deadlines
- Experience in a high-volume multi-tasking warehouse role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Business Process Management Software
- Excellent numerical and data handling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to perform a variety of repetitive manual tasks that require agility and manual dexterity
- Ability to learn routine tasks quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Forklift certification helpful
