Job Description
Job Title: Early Childhood Director
Location: Benton School District Job Type: FullTime
Reports To: Superintendent of Schools
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Early Childhood Director to lead and manage our early childhood education and extended care programs. This role requires a passionate individual dedicated to providing highquality childcare and educational programs while ensuring a safe nurturing and engaging environment for children. The director will oversee the daily operations of the PreK daycare and before and after school care programs ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations curriculum implementation staff supervision and parent communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Curriculum Development
- Develop and implement ageappropriate curricula and activities that promote academic social and emotional development.
- Ensure all programs meet or exceed state licensing requirements and accreditation standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methods program activities and learning outcomes.
Staff Management & Development
- Recruit train supervise and evaluate teaching staff and support personnel.
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Maintain compliance with state regulations licensing requirements and health and safety standards.
- Manage budgets financial records and enrollment processes.
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures that ensure smooth daily operations.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents addressing concerns and providing regular updates on childrens progress.
- Organize and participate in community outreach events and parent engagement activities.
- Serve as a liaison between families staff and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development Education Administration or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience in childcare management early childhood education or a related field.
- Certifications: Must meet state licensing director qualifications; CPR & First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of child development principles curriculum planning and classroom management.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
- Proficiency in managing budgets enrollment and administrative tasks.
