Job Description

As part of the International Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) team develops and/or implements the corporate compliance program across the board.  Acts as primary contact for specific regions or countries whilst operating across full International business division of the company as needed. Works with team to establish policies and procedures develop and provide relevant training for employees and third parties on compliance related area.  Provides compliance guidance advice and support to various commercial teams and business units.  Conducts compliance due diligence reviews of third parties and compliance vetting of specific transactions.  Engages in risk assessment exercises and business projects to ensure compliance requirements.  Helps identify monitoring needs and perform monitoring activities to minimize compliance risks.  Conducts reviews and investigations on specific compliance issues.

1. Commercial Support

  • Provide guidance and advice to the Country Management commercial teams in country region or across international business division proactively supporting compliance matters to minimize risk.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessment of thirdparty activities and any other areas of activity that require regular review.  Conduct routine and ad hoc reviews and resolve noted issues.
  • Monitor due diligence activities as needed for both current and new third parties in accordance with Allergan policies and procedures.
  • Attends guides and actively participates in LT and Compliance Committee

2. Compliance Policies and Procedures 

  • Create and establish appropriate policies procedures and standards to mitigate compliance risk within the direct and indirect countries within region.
  • Work closely with in country compliance representatives and country management teams to understand the risk environment and implement adequate compliance policies procedures and standards across the company.
  • Provide guidance on Allergans compliance expectations and review both internal and thirdparty controls and standards and work with relevant teams to resolve any issues.

3. Compliance Training and Monitoring Programme

  • Develop and provide relevant engaging and interactive compliance training for Allergan employees and with Allergans business partners employees or agents as appropriate.
  • Ensure training materials are effectively and accurately communicated to employees or agents.  Update business divisions and other support functions as appropriate on relevant compliance news alerts and other developments.
  • Support and implement the compliance monitoring programme across the International business division with the focus on prevention of compliance issues and appropriate risk management.  Perform monitoring awareness and education activities across the company

4. Compliance Investigation and Reporting

  • Conduct ad hoc investigations into potential compliance issues which are raised within the International business division as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Prepare and maintain regular progress reports and updates on compliance reviews and investigations for senior management of the company.
  • Identify gaps and pitfalls within current compliance controls to ensure those issues could be resolved or mitigated to prevent potential misconduct.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience

  • University degree or equivalent (scientific business or legal) CA / MBA / Law Degree holder preferred
  • Big 4 / Pharmaceutical / Aesthetics working experience desirable
  • Approx. 5 to 8 years of experience in similar role
  • An auditing forensic or process orientated background is desirable

Essential Skills Experience and Competencies (includes Licenses Credentials)

  • Strong experience in the Pharmaceutical Healthcare or related industries
  • Significant experience working in a compliance role preferably at country level
  • Significant experience in establishing and running compliance programmes for ABAC risk
  • Excellent communication skills fluent in English (written and oral) plus other language(s) relevant to subregion responsibility
  • Experience in developing and delivering training to diverse cultural groups
