We publish the most exciting voices from around the world with unmissable contemporary novels electrifying thrillers spellbinding historical fiction and immersive and worldbuilding storytelling.
The list is home to major writers such as Haruki Murakami Jo NesboErin Morgenstern Abir Mukherjee Karl Ove Knausgaard Tommy Orange Yoko Ogawa Joseph OConnor Denise Mina and Elaine Feeney.
The role
The Publishing Director will report to the Managing Director of Vintage and be part of the Vintage Leadership Team. You will be responsible for the creative cultural and commercial success of Harvill and will be expected to set high standards for your editorial team always leading inclusively. Harvill is home to many of the worlds greatest writers and the Publishing Director is responsible for the positive experience of all authors on the list.

While our offices across the UK are places to connect collaborate and celebrate with colleagues we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. Vintages office days are Tuesday and Thursday and for this role you will be expected to be in a minimum of two days a week and to attend all inperson meetings.
