The opportunity


EY is seeking a dynamic procurement professional who is passionate about Indirect Procurement and the full spectrum of Talent Acquisition/Contingent Workforce/Professional Services/Learning & Development who has exciting visions for the future the ability to drive transformative change and deliver stakeholder value and would look forward to joining a global leader on our ambitious procurement journey.

This role will be a key contributor within Global Procurements Talent Procurement team. You will report to the Procurement Lead for Human Capital and Learning & Development (L&D) categories and will be responsible for the procurement strategy transformation initiatives sourcing and stakeholder engagement for selected regional and global programs/projects within Talent Procurement.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for delivering on a portfolio of strategic projects and transformation initiatives implementing regional and crossregional category sourcing programs across the Human Capital and L&D categories and delivering brand and quantitative value through strategic change strong negotiations process efficiencies and demand management.
  • Act as a trusted business advisor to EY stakeholders aligning procurement projects with the business pipeline and providing Exceptional Customer Service while delivery both brand and quantitative value to the bottom line through cost savings and cost avoidance.
  • Endtoend delivery of sourcing projects and category management activities for EY business stakeholders along with commercial management of EYs Human Capital and L&D suppliers.
  • Provide structured management and accurate progress reporting on all projects and ensure timely of savings forms.
  • Identification and leveraging of digital tools procurement technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to drive efficiency support datadriven decision making and optimize sourcing processes and supplier management.
  • As functional expert in these Talent categories you shall contribute content and best practices to the regional and global strategy.
  • Lead complex Request for Information/Proposals (RFI/Ps) including strong commercial contractual negotiations while partnering with stakeholders and shared functions such as GCO Risk Management and Vendor Management teams.
  • Interact with a global team of procurement specialists and Talent & business stakeholders across multiple locations to facilitate the efficient and timely implementation or adoption of global & regional strategy programs & platforms (including but not limited to managed service programs direct sourcing talent technologies Ariba modules).
  • Work closely with other business partners including Risk Management Legal (GCO) Global Client Serving Partners Sector Leaders etc. on a regular basis.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic suppliers through an innovative SRM program and in collaboration with the business leads and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with other EY procurement leads to deliver projects in regions where there may not be category coverage/support or when recruitment/contingent workforce/L&D sourcing expertise is required.
  • Adherence to EY procurement policy and processes including collaboration with Legal (GCO) Risk Management and other EY support functions.
  • Develop strong relationships with key EY business stakeholders and report procurement program/project progress via regular meetings.
  • Continuously deliver procurement and category insights to key stakeholders and educate the procurement process to local EY staff and stakeholders as needed.
  • Solid knowledge of key suppliers and their position in the market in addition to working through current market intelligence resources and partners to perform the latest research across the Talent categories.
  • High quality of sourcing projects in line with the procurement policy and within the timeline as agreed with key stakeholders.
  • Minimize contractual risks to EY and manage supplier relationships according to EYs procurement and Independence policies.

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum of 8to10 plus years of Procurement experience including but not limited to sourcing talent acquisition/recruitment services contingent labor independent contractors/freelancers professional services/consultancy learning & development coaching technology platforms (eg ATS VMS FMS) workforce management and demand management to include covering all areas of Talent/HR spend
  • Demonstrated track record of defining and delivering Procurement strategies and projects in Human Capital and L&D category and services
  • Experience of working in a complex matrixed global organization and liaising with different cultures
  • Strong business acumen and ability to identify opportunities & develop sourcing strategies which support EY business needs

Ideally youll also have

  • An ability to align efforts with key stakeholders and influence these leaders as necessary and possess a global mindset.
  • The understanding of strategic trends in talent acquisition/contingent workforce/L&D and what changes are occurring in the industry in whole; and how they impact our category & procurement strategies and programs
  • An aptitude to build rapport efficiently connect and expand network and promote teaming and consensus
  • Experience with assessing opportunities and building credible options in an influential manner with senior EY leaders to reach resolution and drive results
  • Demonstrated effective decisionmaking and maturity that enhance interactions with EY leadership
  • Strong experience in direct or indirect management of regional & global teams as well as senior stakeholders
  • The ability to adapt to the styles and cultural differences of others and incorporate feedback to maximize relationships and outcome
  • Proven people development and management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in fluent business English
  • The ability to travel up to 5 for strategic planning stakeholder meetings people management project coordination and implementation
  • Proven sourcing experience in other categories such as technology or travel (desired)
  • Experience with managing sourcing projects in Ariba/SAP and of online Rfx and eAuctions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools procurement/sourcing technologies ERP systems such as SAP and technologies for talent acquisition L&D and training programs and contingent workforce management.

  • Proven track record of identifying developing and leading complex procurement activities including multiregional or global projects. High level of cultural awareness and EQ.
  • Strong strategic sourcing expertise and deep background in program design implementation and continuous process improvement & monitoring within talent acquisition contingent workforce and L&D categories.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders to influence program/project direction.
  • Candidates who are energetic innovative and selfmotivated.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience. Masters or MBA preferred.
  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) and CCWP (Certified Contingent Workforce Professional) is preferred.
What we offer
The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges.
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where youll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96300 to $180100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115600 to $204600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography. In addition our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage pension and 401(k) plans and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our teamled and leaderenabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external client serving roles to work together in person 4060 of the time over the course of an engagement project or year.
