Summary



King County Metro Transit has a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) for a Project/Program Manager (PPM) III to support Learning and Developmentwithin our Organization Health and Development team (OHD) in Employee Services. This position is open only to current King County employees who have passed their probationary period in their current Career Service position.

This position will be responsible for leading the work of the Learning and Development team in particular the Educator Consultants who will be developing and delivering educational opportunities to Metros workforce. They will report to and work with the Learning and Development Manager to support the Educator Consultants and to translate the Learning and Development vision to actionable workplans timelines and deliverables to meet agency and customer needs.

This position will support the oversight of a team that is responsible for Metros Learning and Development portfolio. This position will work closely with the Learning and Development Manager team and Employee Services Division members to cultivate a workplace culture that is rooted in organizational health equity and belonging.

This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) Special Duty Assignment (SDA) with an anticipated duration through December 31st 2025 with the possibility for addition thisrecruitments selection process may be used to generate an eligibility pool for future SDA positions that may occur in this classification. The eligibility pool will be retained for 12 months from the date of posting and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority.

Work Schedule
This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule every other Thursday comprising a 40-hour workweek normally 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Work Location
This position will be located in the King Street Center Building- 201 S Jackson St Seattle WA 98104.

Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly in a hybrid work environment working in the office and at home. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within areas on able distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplacereporting requirements.
