Missouri Southern State University is seeking candidates for a fulltime professional staff oncampus position as the Director of Simulation and Interprofessional Education (IPE). The Director of Simulation and IPE is responsible for providing leadership in clinical simulation and IPE. This role will work collaboratively with faculty to design and implement innovative simulationbased and interprofessional learning experiences that enhance student readiness to work effectively in interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The director oversees the operational technical and financial management of the Simulation Center and ensures its alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Education Experience and Other Credentials
A Bachelors Degree in a Health Science or related field is required; a Masters Degree in healthrelated field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of clinical healthcare experience is required. Demonstrated experience in simulationbased training and/or education is required. Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) is preferred or must be willing to obtain one of these certifications within six months of hire. Experience in interprofessional education is preferred. Evidence of professional leadership experience is preferred. Certification as Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor is preferred or must be willing to obtain this certification within six months of hire.
