Position Summary:
ResponsiveEd is seeking a passionate experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Educator Preparation and Advancement to support and elevate the development of future and current educators and leaders within the ResponsiveEd network. This full-time role is integral to the continued success of the ResponsiveEd 180 Educator Preparation Program (EPP) and will work collaboratively to coach train and support teacher candidates aspiring campus leaders and new campus administrators. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to instructional excellence educational equity and leadership development grounded in the principles of effective pedagogy and the Teach Like a Champion framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Teacher Candidate Support (ResponsiveEd 180 EPP)
- Provide high-quality training and coaching to teacher candidates enrolled in the ResponsiveEd 180 EPP.
- Facilitate instructional walkthroughs and provide targeted feedback for both in-person/virtual training and online coursework to support pedagogical growth.
- Support program compliance and candidate progression through observation documentation and performance evaluation of both in-person/virtual training and online coursework.
- Lead and/or co-facilitate training modules aligned to research-based instructional practices.
Leadership Induction Program
- Deliver training mentorship and coaching to aspiring campus leaders participating in internal leadership pipelines.
- Support onboarding induction and continuous development for newly appointed campus leaders.
- Provide strategic coaching on leadership best practices campus culture development and academic excellence.
Instructional Coaching & Professional Development
- Collaborate with district and campus leadership teams to identify needs and implement effective professional learning for staff.
- Design and deliver professional development sessions rooted in the Teach Like a Champion techniques instructional best practices and data-driven instruction.
- Observe and coach school leaders and instructional staff supporting the implementation of effective coaching models and instructional leadership.
Program Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with the Director of Educator Preparation and Advancement in the design planning and implementation of educator development initiatives.
- Monitor the effectiveness of coaching and training programs through feedback data analysis and continuous improvement cycles.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with academic services HR compliance and school operations teams to support programmatic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or related field (required)
- Masters degree in Educational Leadership Curriculum & Instruction or related field (strongly preferred)
- Current and valid Texas Teacher Certification (required)
- Texas Principal Certification or demonstrated progress toward completion (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in education
- At least 2 years in instructional coaching (preferred)
- At least 2 years in school leadership roles (required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Teach Like a Champion strategies (required)
- Experience with implementation of Teach Like a Champion strategies (preferred)
- Strong facilitation and public speaking skills
- Experience coaching educators and/or school leaders with a focus on instructional excellence
- Ability to travel to ResponsiveEd campuses as needed
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
