Airgas an Air Liquide Company is seeking a Maintenance Manager. As one of the leading Dry Ice producers in the world the person in this role will help to ensure we take care of our customers.

What will I be doing

In partnership with the Plant Manager the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance of the facility including the understanding of and ability to explain the basic mechanical theory to direct reports coordinating vendors projecting and establishing preventative maintenance programs and schedules while directing the maintenance staff to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operational.

  • Maintenance of the facility should include understanding and ability to explain basic mechanical theory to direct reports.
  • Coordinating vendors projecting and establishing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Directing the maintenance staff to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
  • Ensuring all staff members adhere to OSHA general standards related to a manufacturing facility Safety SOPs P/L managementand Labor Cost Management.
  • Workforce Planning/ Scheduling
  • Process Improvement/Quality efforts (Six Sigma Lean)
  • Manage all plant operations to ensure budgetary goals are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure our products meet or exceed QC standardsusing specified SOP testing methods.
  • Manage any special projects/improvements as directed.
  • Collaborate with plant and branch managers to ensureaccurate and timely delivery of production requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional sales management and customers to ensure high customer satisfaction. Interview hire train and discipline employees according to corporate guidelines and policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry for product sales purchasing and receiving raw materials and supplies.
  • Managing shift scheduling performance evaluations safety training documentation disciplinary actions associate development vacation overtime recordkeeping and specific jobrelated training.
  • Monitoring spare parts inventory to minimize production impact during equipment service repair or
    replacement.
  • Scheduling corrective and preventive maintenance work on the facility and all facility equipment
    including pumps compressors valves manifolds safety devices scales pressure indicators bulk tanks
    etc.
  • Issuing hazardous work permits according to policy.
  • Managing purchase orders and receipt of maintenancerelated tools and equipment.
  • Oncall required. (This can include latenight phone calls and the occasional onsite visits on weekend days.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • BS degree preferred. (Associates degree or High School diploma with formal technical training considered in conjunction with extensive relevant experience).
  • HVAC Certification or equivalent background
  • 3 years of Production Management experience
