Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Hybrid Redwood City CA M/T/W and remote Th/F.
Duration: 6 months
- Project Manager with a background in software development
- Experienced PM that brings Agile scrum app development SDLC
- They are cybersecurity software company. Lots moving projects and need the extra bandwidth
- If they come from the Cybersecurity industry that would be a huge plus
- Jira and confluence
- 1 other jr. PM within the CTO org
- Want someone more agile and capable and adjusting quickly
- Need someone confident but flexible.
- CTO knows what he wants and how he wants it done.
- Reports to their VP of Engineering
- 4 6 years exp is good.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Redwood City California. In this role you will oversee the planning and execution of complex projects ensuring all moving parts align seamlessly to achieve organizational goals. This position requires a dynamic individual with a keen interest in artificial intelligence and a proven ability to manage evolving projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including timelines milestones and resource allocation.
- Coordinate workflows and ensure all project components are aligned and progressing as planned.
- Manage staff capacity effectively delegating tasks to optimize productivity within resource constraints.
- Facilitate communication across teams to ensure clarity and alignment on project objectives.
- Organize and maintain project calendars keeping track of deadlines and deliverables.
- Adapt to evolving project requirements and maintain flexibility in planning and execution.
- Provide strategic guidance on ambitious project plans ensuring feasibility and alignment with organizational goals.
- Utilize project management tools such as Jira to track progress and manage tasks effectively.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to support software development and other key initiatives.
- Monitor project performance and propose adjustments as necessary to stay on track.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or a related field.
- Strong expertise in formal project management methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
- PMP certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using project management tools like Jira to track and manage workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage cross-functional application development initiatives with knowledge of SDLC.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to manage calendars and deadlines.
- Proven capacity to adapt to changing project requirements and maintain flexibility.
