Job Overview
The Podar Education Network is seeking a dedicated Junior School Counselor for our Hubballi location. This is a fulltime position suitable for professionals with a background in psychology ideally with a Master of Science degree. The role requires active listening skills and will involve working closely with students teachers and parents to support and guide students educational and personal development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in active listening to understand and address students needs effectively. (Mandatory skill)
- Masters degree in science preferably in psychology to provide a solid foundation for counseling services. (Mandatory skill)
- Strong understanding of psychological principles to apply appropriate counseling methods. (Mandatory skill)
- Problemsolving skills to develop effective strategies for students facing challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with students parents and faculty.
- Patient demeanor to support students through various emotional and academic challenges.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques to guide students in academic and personal development.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality to protect students privacy and trust.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students focusing on both educational and personal issues.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop strategies that support students overall development.
- Conduct workshops and sessions tailored towards enhancing students personal and academic skills.
- Identify students needs and provide solutions through effective counseling techniques.
- Ensure all counseling activities are conducted with the utmost professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records of counseling sessions and interactions.
- Assist in shaping a positive and supportive school environment conducive to growth and learning.
- Stay updated with the latest counseling strategies and educational practices to enhance service delivery.
