Job Description

The Financial Analyst Senior CCR serves as a key member of the Center for Childhood Resilience team. The Financial Analyst Senior will support preaward and postaward grant philanthropic and contracted services management in the Center for Childhood Resilience for both research and community programs operations. This position will have responsibility for financial analysis reporting accounts reconciliation budgets and general accounting support. This is not an IT/Analytics focused position. This position works with program leadership and centralized resources to effectively and efficiently steward all funding received by Center for Childhood Resilience. The Center for Childhood Resilience (CCR) is a program in the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Childrens Hospital of Chicago. Learn more about CCR at

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists in the monthly financial statements and consolidation including analysis of trends.

  • Assists with the information compilation of monthly utilization reports and statistical reports.

  • Prepares monthly journal entries account reconciliations balance sheet and income statement accounts including review of reconciliations performed by clerical staff.

  • Assists with the development and package distribution of operating and capital budgets.

  • Provides support to department directors requesting financial information/analysis.

  • Assists with the preparation and distribution of monthend responsibility reports to department directors and vice presidents.

  • Reviews and approves various fund expenditures and other requests for fund data.

  • Assists the financial reporting specialist in handling and reconciling accounts for practice plan billings.

  • Maintains departmental policies and procedures in relation to the technical functions of the accounting department.

  • Assists in designing financial reporting formats. Assists in the audits including liaison with auditors and preparations of audited financial statements and footnotes disclosure.

  • Assists the fund accounting team in the development compilation and distribution of the funds catalog. Resource to accounting clerical staff on matters relating to finances and keeping up to date with generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients families coworkers and others.

  • Other job functions as assigned.

  • Bachelors degree in Business Business Management Finance or Accounting required; MBA preferred.

  • Preferred Experience with Workday Financial Reporting.

  • Required Experience with Project and Grant Budgeting

  • Required 2 years of progressive jobrelated experience in a financial role with grants.

  • Ability to work independently and professionally.

  • Advanced computing and spreadsheet skills.

  • Organizational and work planning skills to manage independent projects.

  • Selfdirected in developing new knowledge and skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and communicate with others.

  • Ability to communicate both oral and written complex issues in clear concise manner and to communicate ideas and conclusions orally to all levels within an organization.

Education

Bachelors Degree: Business Administration/Management (Required)

Pay Range

$70720.00$115627.20 Salary

At Lurie Childrens we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity reflecting individual contributions experience and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position.
