Job Description
We re looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our public sector client based in Cardiff on an initial 6-month contract paying between 900 to 950 per day Inside IR35.
This role allows hybrid working with an expectation to attend the office 3 days per week.
You will need to bring senior financial leadership experience within complex organisations ideally in the public sector with a proven track record of managing transformation risk and commercial governance.
The successful CFO will possess proven skills working with the following
Strategic financial management governance and stewardship
Leading Finance Commercial and Economics functions
Acting as Lead Executive for Audit & Risk and Chair of Finance and Investment Committees
Delivering value-for-money and compliance with Managing Public Money
Driving procurement strategy and commercial assurance
Stakeholder influence at board/government level
High-level reporting including annual accounts and statutory returns
You will need to be a fully qualified accountant (CCAB CIMA or equivalent) with strong understanding of public sector finance and governance frameworks.
