Job Description
Title: Sr OCI Cloud Services Architect (773430)
Client: Virginia Information Technology Agency
Location: 7325 Beaufont Springs Drive Richmond VA 23225
Note: Hybrid role.
Job Description:
Assist with the design review and implementation of Oracle OCI services and solution offerings.
- The position will work with customer agencies managed cloud suppliers as well as internal agency teams to ensure that architectures and environments provide efficient effective secure and compliant solutions based on best practices and well architected frameworks.
- Documented experience with cloud architecture operations and management in a public cloud environment - specifically Oracles OCI.
- Experience performing reviews of proposed changes & projects relative to the security of an IT environment.
- At least 8 years of forward-thinking IT experience. 3 years of hands-on cloud technology experience (preferably with OCI). Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
- Experience with implementing migrating or managing operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment. College degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Knowledgeable of cloud networking architectures utilizing virtual networks VPN Subnets network security groups. load balancers etc.
- Thorough understanding of customers priorities and the business criticality of platforms applications and services. Cloud certifications preferred within the Oracle OCI cloud environment
Required skills:
- Familiar with Cloud Native architecture paradigms patterns and security methodologies.
- Experience designing solutions within and working with the Oracle OCI environment
- Oracle OCI specific certifications (Cloud Ops Architecture Security etc)
- Experience working with cloud reference model models creating diagrams and other design documentation
- Experience with implementing migrating or managing operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment.
- Knowledgeable of cloud networking architectures utilizing virtual networks VPN Subnets network security groups. load balancers etc.
- Experience performing reviews of proposed changes & projects relative to the security and controls of an IT environment.
- Experience performing reviews of proposed changes & projects relative to the security and controls of an IT environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for addressing customer business needs.
- Ability to review technical solutions for technical and fiscal accuracy
- Skilled in oral and written communication as it pertains to technical information
- Experience working with security and regulatory frameworks such as NIST PCI CJIS FedRAMP etc
- Experience working with cloud native technologies such as containers serverless workloads functions database as a service etc.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and under specific deadlines
- College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with scripting and build tools such as Jenkins Github Terraform
- Experience working with configuration management and monitoring tools such as Fleet Application Management Puppet OCI Monitoring Splunk etc
