Quality Improvement Officer Case file Audits and Safeguarding

Working 36.5 hours per week
We are delighted to provide an exciting opportunity for staff across Birmingham City Council.
The role of Quality Improvement Officer will require the successful applicant to undertake audits of social work practice create learning resources and be involved in establishing and carrying out quality assurance activity for the department.
Audits are a key driver in supporting service reform and quality assurance.
Key focus of the role:
Working closely with the Principal social worker and the deputy Principal social worker
Carrying out audits of practice
Creating resources to support the working of the Quality Assurance Framework
Creating learning resources and organising learning events
The successful candidates will be required to support the CQC inspection
Considerations for applicant:
You will need a Social Work Qualification and be registered with SWE
An excellent understanding of quality social work practice and how we assure this
Ability to work in a timely manner and get reports completed on time
An excellent knowledge of the prevention agenda the importance of data and quality for Social Work; and knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the Principal social worker
Education Skills and Qualities required: You will need to have considerable experience of working in the social care sector
You will need to be registered with Social Work England
You will need an appropriate Social Work qualification
You will need to have the ability to work collaboratively with others
You will need to demonstrate a commitment to citizens and their carers
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills
You will need to show examples of demonstrating dignity and respect within work
You will need to demonstrate the ability to work alongside partnership agencies
You will need to demonstrate knowledge of 3 Conversations and its working principles
You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to recognise excellent standards in case files
You will need to be able to prioritise workloads whilst working with competing demands
