As a member of the Corporate Finance team the key focus of this role is to support the corporate financial close while working with various business groups to ensure accuracy of financial results.
Key Responsibilities
May include but not limited to following:
- Responsible for accounting functions related to IFRS16 leases including maintaining leases in Lease Accelerator and posting monthly lease entries. Collaborate with operations AP and legal to ensure complete and accurate reporting of leased property in accordance with IFRS16 and companys policies. Reconcile the lease continuity schedule.
- Detailed review of Corporate P&L to ensure expenses are recorded in the correct account and department and all costs are accrued for. Perform analysis to explain variances.
- Prepare and review the consolidated intercompany reconciliation. Investigate intercompany variances and coordinate with different finance groups for resolution before GL close.
- Prepare and post monthly insurance costs for all business units. Process insurance invoices and work closely with risk management team to ensure complete and accurate accounting for all corporate managed policies and respond in a timely manner to all inquiries from operations. Reconcile prepaid insurance reserve and premium liability accounts.
- Prepare and submit journals for entries provided by Tax including quarterly deferred and current tax tax provisions and repo.
- Provide support for preparation of corporate budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with internal audit requests and external quarterly review and annual audit.
- Other ad hoc report and analytics as required.
Requirements:
- 45 years of related accounting experience with CPA designation.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business.
- Working knowledge of Workday Finance LeaseAccelerator Cognos and Blackline would be an asset.
- Experience working in a medium large organization with large volume transactions.
- Detail oriented with ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment and adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during close.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and ability to effectively convey information to various levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner.
