WORK SCHEDULE
Combination of office hours and travel
JOB SUMMARY
The Nazarene recruiter represents SNU to its constituents (i.e. students parents youth workers pastors churches schools guidance counselors etc.. Through personal on and offcampus contacts the representative will generate leads follow up on leads present current information and establish a solid rapport with prospective students. Role includes travel to churches camps and college fairs. Performance is based on the completion of assignments and results obtained.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Articulate the SNU admission process to prospective students and parents includingfinancial aid opportunities academic programs and campus activities
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of campus activities academic programs andparticipate in campus events when possible
- Ability and willingness to travel within the SouthCentral region (Texas OklahomaArkansas and Louisiana) to visit regional churches and youth groups
- Represent SNU at college fairs
- Help to enroll a highquality student body
- Connect with influencers internally and externally
- Assist with oncampus recruitment events
- Submit reports to the Vice President for Enrollment & Marketing as needed
- Ability to provide quality customer service
- Work with student Admission groups who represent SNU during the summer
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. According to SNU policy all faculty and staff must profess faith in Jesus Christ possess a strong personal Christian commitment and be committed to the SNU mission to make Christlike disciples through higher education in a Christ centered community.
- An understanding of the importance for diversity inclusion and equity.
- High school graduate
- Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast paced work environment
- Typing and spelling competency
- Experience with various computer software applications
- Data entry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some college coursework
- Experience in higher education
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
Supervision Exercised:
May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
