Job Description
Introduction
A leading construction company in Cape Town is seeking a Site Engineer with a strong background in building projects to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced professional looking to work on challenging and highquality developments.
Minimum Requirements:
- BTech/BSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 5 years experience as a Site Engineer in the building construction industry
- Proven experience working on commercial residential or mixeduse building projects
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods materials and site processes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication coordination and problemsolving skills
- Proficient in MS Office MS Projects and construction software (e.g. AutoCAD BuildSmart or similar)
- Valid drivers license and own transport
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site activities to ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and budget
- Coordinate with contractors subcontractors and consultants
- Monitor progress against programme and report to Project/Contracts Manager
- Ensure quality standards and safety regulations are upheld on site
- Assist in planning scheduling and resource allocation
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support on site
