Accountability: The Human Resources Generalist role is responsible for effective of human resources strategies in the following functional areas: talent acquisition hiring and onboarding employee relations policy application performance management and administrative reporting. The Human Resources Generalist works closely with the onsite Operations team in conjunction with the People Services team.
Responsibilities:
- Performs talent acquisition and manages job postings
- Facilitates process of candidate selection interviewing job offer candidate onboarding and arranging travel for new hire training
- Actively participates in recruitment campaigns; job fairs; general networking; etc. to ensure robust candidate pipeline.
- Demonstrates general knowledge of HR policies as well as federal state and local laws and regulations
- Handles basic employee relations issues and escalates to HRBP team as appropriate. Ensures employee questions and issues are promptly and courteously resolved
- Supports internal employee investigations in partnership with HRBP team
- Supports monthly required trainings and performance review process
- Assists with daytoday performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching counseling career development disciplinary actions).
- Assists with maintaining timecards attendance policy tracking and application and general day to day employee needs
- Coordinates with external vendors and assists with accounts payable
- Prepares and compiles reports for HR metrics.
- Other duties as assigned
Specialized or Technical Knowledge or Education and Experience:
- Proven knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting components
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to set high personal goals and work independently
- Bachelors degree in human resources or businessrelated field
- Two or more years of HR experience in both talent acquisition and in the HR Generalist capacity
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies weighing 15 lbs to 20lbs
- Able to push and pull with 10 lbs of force the amount of force required to open and close file drawers
- Hand and finger dexterity for use of keyboard skills
Environmental Conditions: Performs work in indoors office environment. Will make occasional visits to work sites both indoors and outdoors within the location requiring the wearing of PPE
