The Cigna Group is seeking an experienced executive communications leader who is passionate about improving the health care journey for our customers patients and clinicians.
In this role youll partner with the VP Corporate Impact to develop an internal and external communications plan that helps advance our companys Inclusion and Environmental Social and Governance goals in support of our growth and impact. This person should have a mix of both strategic and tactical skills in these areas your creative thinking and ability to connect dots will help you develop a strong communications plan and your strong writing business acumen and partnership skills will enable you to execute against it.
The role requires a motivated professional who can operate with autonomy works well under pressure and has proven strength in building strong crossfunctional relationships with senior leadership and matrix partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a Corporate Impact communications strategy inclusive of both internal (employee) and external audiences thats connected to our overall mission and business strategies.
Lead and develop a wide variety of communications such as presentations key messages intranet content (stories blogs etc. emails videos newsletters employee and customer storytelling and social media content among others.
Lead and execute a variety of employee meetings and events both virtually and inperson including town halls and employee engagement activities and events to increase employee experience knowledge and engagement.
Partner with our Newsroom Social Media and Media Relations teams to amplify our story and strategy.
Partner and coordinate with key matrix partners senior business leaders and the broader Communications organization.
Accountable for metrics and insights of communications programs using specific data to track progress and make continuous improvements.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Offer:
At least 8 years of experience working in public relations political/policy communications public/corporate affairs or media relations within the healthcare landscape.
Keen insight into the intersection between our Corporate Impact goals and objectives and our business strategy and impact
Strong writing and editing skills; ability to write for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels and vehicles
Experience in crisis issue and/or reputation management and issue monitoring
Ability to skillfully manage multiple projects deadlines and deliverables
Experience working in a global highlymatrixed deadlinesensitive environment
Tact and discretion to work with confidential information and colleagues at all levels
Bachelors or Masters degree in communications journalism or health policy
