Job Summary
Under minimal supervision responsible for planning and coordinating specific aspects of the assigned departments internal and external customer service .and provider enrollment. In coordination with others responsible for faculty recruitment. Acts as a catalyst between the department faculty staff and various Health Science and University departments to ensure a high level of service to all parties and high quality coordination of operations within the department.
Responsibilities
1. Forecasts develops and implements policies and procedures in the areas of customer service recruitment and provider enrollment that are consistent with University of Utahs policies. 2. Facilitates cooperative and collaborative relationships with faculty staff provider enrollment and other groups as necessary. 3. Develops departmental strategies consistent with the assigned departments continuous quality improvement program. 4. Prepares documents necessary to enroll physicians and nonphysician providers with insurance carriers. 5. Maintains deletions additions and changes to the Physician Enrollment file in coordination with Provider Enrollment department. 6. Prepares documents in a consistent and accurate manner. 7. Responsible for working enrollment issues. 8. Reports any detected problems errors and/or changes in provider enrollment requirements when discovered. 9. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring departments area of specialization in order to analyze plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required. Masters degree in a related area may be preferred. This position is patientsensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
