COMPUTER TECHNICIANMIDDLE SCHOOL
Purpose Statement:
The job of COMPUTER TECHNICIANMIDDLE SCHOOL is done for the purpose/s of maintaining computer and network equipment in operating condition; meeting the technology needs of the high school; documenting information and resolving immediate operational and/or safety concerns. Position is 11 months; from July 1 through May 30 (or earlier depending on approved calendar).
This job reports to Technology Director and DSMS Principal

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
SKILLS are required to perform multiple technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: using pertinent software applications computer repair networkpc/mac.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math including calculations using fractions percents and/or ratios; read technical information compose a variety of documents and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: computer operation/skills
ABILITY is required to schedule activities; gather and/or collate data; and consider a number of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with similar types of data; and utilize a wide variety of types of jobrelated equipment. In working with others problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is moderate. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities meeting deadlines and schedules.
Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the jobs functions. There is some opportunity to effect the Organizations services.
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; significant stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80 sitting 10 walking and 10 standing. The job is performed under some hazardous conditions.
Experience Job related experience is required.
