The Senior Work Health and Safety (WHS) Partner works closely with business leaders to embed a proactive safety culture by providing expert guidance coaching and mentorship to enhance workplace safety and risk management. Reporting into the General Manager Work Health & Safety this role supports frontline leaders and teams in developing their H&S capability ensuring compliance with regulations and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.
What Does Success Look Like
- Lead the way in embedding best practices across our diverse operations to support our longterm goals.
- Mentor and coach supervisors and workers helping them proactively identify assess and mitigate health safety and environmental risks.
- Provide insights on complex safety incidents investigations and root cause analysis to ensure continuous improvement and organizational learning.
- Lead hazard identification risk assessments and control verification activities to enhance workplace safety and operational resilience.
- Ensure employees are physically and mentally fit for their duties and provide guidance on managing workrelated injuries and illnesses.
- Develop review and improve safety management system documents including standards health & safety plans procedures safe work statements and work instructions.
Exposure & experience
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety Risk Management or a related discipline (Diploma/Degree preferred).
- Additional certifications in HSE auditing risk management process safety or incident investigation (e.g. ICAM Lead Auditor certification) are highly desirable.
