Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Manager for a prestigious luxury safari camp located in Mpumalanga. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and skilled hospitality professional to join a worldclass team in a breathtaking Big 5 safari setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full F&B operation ensuring an exceptional dining experience that complements the camps premium guest offering.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department across all outlets
Manage and lead F&B service teams to deliver fivestar guest experiences
Maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality presentation and service
Monitor stock levels place orders and manage budgets and cost controls
Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure menu consistency and alignment with guest expectations
Train and develop service staff implementing ongoing coaching to maintain service excellence
Ensure all hygiene health and safety regulations are adhered to in all F&B areas
Host guests during meals and contribute to an exceptional dining atmosphere
Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues promptly and professionally
Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Manage wine cellar and beverage stock including selections and pairings
Collaborate with the management team on guest experience enhancements and special events
Requirements:
A formal qualification in hospitality food and beverage management or a related field
Minimum of 3 5 years experience in a similar role preferably within a luxury lodge or 5star hospitality environment
Proven leadership experience with a handson management style
Strong financial and stock management acumen
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in F&B software and Microsoft Office Suite
Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Valid driver s license preferred
