PartTime Lecturer Pool
POSITION
The Department of Kinesiology at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its PartTime Lecturer Pool.
We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach in the following subject areas:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Athletic Training
- Biomechanics
- Exercise Physiology
- Fitness
- Gerokinesiology
- Legal and ethical Issues in Kinesiology
- Motor Control and Learning
- Recreation and Physical Activity Promotion
- Sport and Exercise Psychology
- Strength & Conditioning
- Teacher Education
This is a pool of parttime lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PARTTIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Masters degree in Kinesiology or related field or equivalent experience.
- Candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level.
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students including firstgeneration college students
- K through 12 (Teacher Education) and/or Universitylevel teaching experience in Kinesiology
- The ability to communicate effectively and work with a culturally and ethnically diverse student population
- Demonstrated ability/potential to provide highquality undergraduate and graduate education to a diverse student population including firstgeneration and underrepresented college students
- Record of scholarship in their respective area of specialization
- A demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching scholarship and/or service.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative supportive and inclusive environment
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant performance and professional experience
- Collegelevel teaching experience in the discipline of Kinesiology
- For Athletic Training classes; current Athletic Trainer certification
- For Teacher Education classes; K through 12 teaching experience

APPOINTMENT AND SALARY
All parttime faculty appointments are made as Lecturers under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification Range: $5007 $6359 per month
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications not to exceed $5925 per month
The fulltime 15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. For a threeunit assignment typical starting compensation ranges from $6008.40 to $7110 per semester.

The need for parttime faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall term begins in the late August and ends in midDecember; the Spring term runs from the middle of January through the end of May. On rare occasions parttime faculty are needed during one of the Summer Session segments.
