Job Description
- Position: Physical Therapist (PT) Contract/Agency
- Facility: UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital 52-bed state-of-the-art inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital
- Department: Therapy Services
- Openings: 5
- Shift: Day shift; flexible weekend hours; no call requirements
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: None (no minimum hours or guarantees)
- Scheduling: Work with facility on scheduling once credentialed
- Patient Ratio: 4-5 patients per day; 6 hours of treatment time daily
- Patient Population: Adults with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) SCI (Spinal Cord Injury) orthopedic trauma stroke amputation neurological conditions
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in Acute Rehab or Acute Care
- Required Certification: Active California PT license
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
- Supervisor: Caroline Owen
- Float Requirements: None
- Compliance: Standard compliance applies
- Work Attire: No specific scrub color required
- Parking: Free adjacent to building; parking placard provided
- First Day Instructions: Report at 8:00 AM ask for Caroline Owen
- Primary Duties:
- Deliver customized intensive rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from complex injuries and illnesses
- Maximize patient health function and quality of life through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide patient-focused care throughout recovery journey
