Permanent parttime positions based in Launceston 100 110hrs per month)

Anglicare Tasmania is a nonprofit organisation providing a widerange of community services to the people of Tasmania. We are partof the national Anglicare Australia network of advocates for social justice and aids people in times ofneed. We provide programs relating to health housing familiesdrug and alcohol treatment and support and more.

About the role:

The Rocherlea Rehabilitation & Recovery Service offerstherapeutic nonclinical mental health support to adults in acommunity setting. The service provides Step Up Step Downintervention in addition to medium term residential work collaboratively with mental health services toprovide individualised psychosocial and skills based support andtherapeutic group activities.

This position will be shift work we are looking for twopermanent parttime employees with the hours per month rangingbetween 100 110 hours.

What we are looking for in an employee:

  • Knowledge and experience in supporting people who have severe and persistent mental ill health;
  • Knowledge and skills in providing effective psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery including intake nonclinical assessment recovery planning referral and effective exit planning;
  • High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to conduct nonclinical assessments;
  • A minimum qualification of a Diploma of Community Services;
  • Assist clients with Medication accreditation (training can be provided).

The successful applicant will be requiredto:

  • provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021
  • Present a National Police Check Unsupervised with children (no older than 12 months and not an annulled record);
  • Provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
  • Undertake a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical
  • Provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence

On commencement the successful applicant will be required toundertake our structured Safeguarding Children Trainingprogram.
