Your New Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Capacity and Availability Coordinator to support JP2060 Ph4 a multiyear Defence program to deliver and sustain an enterprise Health Knowledge Management System. This capability will enable better clinical decision making for the ADF.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising the capacity of our workloads within Defence infrastructure (AWS) ensuring high availability and implementing strategies to enhance system performance.
Develop and implement comprehensive capacity planning strategies for HKM System and AWS resources focusing on performance optimization costeffectiveness and proactive demand management
Collaborate across development and operations teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks implement performance tuning strategies and maintain high availability solutions
Drive automation initiatives through scripting workflows and an automate first approach to streamline deployment scaling and management of system resources
Establish and maintain robust monitoring systems with optimized alerts and notifications to ensure rapid response to potential issues and system performance tracking
Ensure rigorous security compliance and vulnerability management through adherence to best practices collaboration with security teams and comprehensive operational documentation
What Youll Bring to Make An Impact
Extensive ITIL expertise with proven experience in Capacity and Availability management specifically focusing on cloud resource management in AWS environments
Strong technical proficiency in resource management tools monitoring solutions and performance optimization with deep understanding of cloud computing and DevOps principles
Demonstrated ability to proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges with minimal supervision documenting findings comprehensively
Exceptional problemsolving skills and adaptability in fastpaced collaborative technology environments
Excellent communication capabilities with ability to independently develop technical briefs interpret policies and articulate complex technical concepts effectively

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold NV1 security clearance and be eligible to obtain an NV2 security clearance.
