Job Description
The LEAP Before and After School program is looking for creative selfmotivated and caring individuals for our before and after school programs for theschool year.
Applicants should enjoy working with childrenin Grades 15 and be able to pass a background check. Group Leaders must have childcare experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage children in all activities while helping them make safe and appropriate choices
- Communicate with Group Leaders and LEAP Site Coordinator regarding the childs accomplishments activities and general behavior
- Help prepare and supervise snack
- Perform assigned daily cleaning and maintain site safety
- Assist youth with homework/academic support
- Remain flexible and openminded
- Contribute to program clubs and activities
- Support students needing 1:1 assistance
- Attend staff meetings and complete required trainings
- Above all ensure the safety of students
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
- At least six months of experience working in child care daycare or preschool preferred
Hours: Monday through Friday approximately 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ability to work all five afternoons is preferred but not required.
Additional hours are available during school vacation weeks and summer.
Rate: $15 $22/hour
