Essential Responsibilities:
As the Technical Leader Simulation Assisted Engineering
- Have ownership and accountability for delivery of the BRWX300 Full Scope Simulator used to train reactor operators.
- Support project engineering or manager with understanding metric and status issues risks mitigation or recovering plans and be extremely proactive to identify changes in scope.
- Drive compliance utilizing scope level 5 work plan budget overall schedule applicable design processes and discipline specific practices and tools including design and technical reviews.
- Collaborate in crossfunctional environment of; Systems Instrumentation & Controls and Human Factors Engineering to successful deployment implementation and lifecycle stewardship of the multiorganization and multigeographic SAE environment. Have accountability for delivering products and services ontime and onbudget.
- Be responsible for team resource planning and project/program assignments.
- Work collaboratively across the engineering matrix and with business leaders in Product Development Project Delivery Sourcing and Quality to ensure close coordination of technical inputs/outputs project/product requirements workforce planning/scheduling and risk management.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to ensure system designs and deliverables comply with requirements throughout design release to manufacturing or supplier including production validation installation and commission tests
- Have ownership to streamline integrate and develop team technical and management processes to better support business needs across the organization through Lean and/or Six Sigma methodology.
- Act as a technical liaise with customers partner organizations and suppliers as necessary and in close partnership/coordination with Product Development and Project Delivery leaders
- Partner with business teams and presents product/program strategies technical roadmaps risks and recommendations to senior leads across GEH
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering Electrical Mechanical Nuclear Systems Software Computer Science or Physics Chemistry Mathematics or equivalent 4year technical degree.
- 8 years of experience in simulation using modern physics mathematics and software based modeling tools for design analysis or training involving; nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics plant process fluidic and mechanical electrical instrumentation control monitoring systems.
- Minimum 2 years experience with:
- ANSI/ANS3.52009 Nuclear Power Plant simulators for use in operator training and examination
- REG GUIDE 1.149 Nuclear Power Plant Simulation Facilities for use in operator training License examination and applicant experience requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in simulation software (e.g. 3KeyMaster)
- Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license or certification
- Primavera P6 knowledge
- Experience managing highly technical and diverse Engineering teams and functions
- PMI/PMP certified with proven project management experience
- Knowledge of working within a regulated environment (nuclear)
- Strong organization skills
- Prior experience in project delivery and working within a matrix environment
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and cope under pressure
- Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
