Catholic Eldercare is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to address employee and administrative concerns under the direction of the Director of Human Resources. The HR Generalist will recruit onboard and orient staff members through the employment process. The HR Generalist will oversee Employee Scholarship program leaves of absence workers compensation and other HR functions in alignment with the values of Catholic Eldercare. The HR Generalist will report to the Director of HR and be a part of the HR team.
Monday thru Friday during regular business hours fully onsite. This is a full time nonexempt position.

Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis offering skilled nursing assisted living independent living memory care transitional care and adult day services.
The HR Generalist will:
1. Partner with HR Director to address employee and manager concerns across the organization.
2. Recruit and screen employment candidates based on hiring manager specifications. Hire and onboard selected candidates ensuring all needed access devices and reporting.
3. Create review and maintain employee records complying with HIPAA standards.
4. Enter and maintain accurate employee data in multiple computerized systems and digital spreadsheets. Manage employee data changes new hire data and separations. Compile reports metrics and data as requested.
5. Manage selfinsured health and group benefit plans per local state and federal regulations.
6. Assist employees with benefit enrollment eligibility and claims. Work with providers to resolve employee benefit concerns. Maintain accurate eligibility and enrollment data.
7. Respond to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely courteous manner.
8. Administer Leave of Absence programs to include FMLA PFML LOA and Parental Leave.
9. Manage nursing and housing staff scholarship programs.
10. Process workers compensation claims and work with Risk provider to close cases.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
35 years of Human Resources experience. Related college degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically Word Outlook Teams and Excel.
Ability to manage concurrent assignments and changing work priorities.
Excellent spoken written and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail.
Attention to confidentiality tact and dependability in addressing sensitive employee matters with professional judgment.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
One or more years Senior Care experience in Nursing Home or Assisted Living.
Experience with UKG Ready Icims Greenshades Ease or Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
Comprehensive understanding of local state and federal employment laws.
Work setting: Onsite Nursing home administrative office NE Mpls 40 hours per week.
Compensation: $per year or $28.80$33.50 per hour nonexempt.
