Job Title: Civil Engineer Road Design and Water Resources
Location: Houston TX (or statewide Texas preferably based in the Houston area)
Duration: Full Time
Years of Experience: 6 Yrs.
Required Hours/Week: 40hrs./Week
Role Summary:
  • As a Senior Civil Engineer youll lead municipal and infrastructure projects with a focus on transportation drainage and water resources.
  • Youll play a key role in delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions mentoring team members and contributing to the mission of reliability and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design and analysis for roadway drainage and water-resource projects
  • Prepare PS&E packages schematics hydraulic models cost estimates and bid documentation
  • Manage project schedules budgets and quality control
  • Coordinate with clients contractors and public agencies attend stakeholder meetings
  • Support construction activities: RFIs submittal reviews change orders and site visits
  • Mentor junior staff and support internal technical development
  • Assist with proposals pre-bid meetings and business development
Must-Haves:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas
  • 6 8 years of hands-on civil engineering experience in transportation drainage and water resources
  • Strong skills in roadway design H&H drainage modeling and stormwater/water-resource systems
  • Proven ability to manage full lifecycle of civil projects from design to construction support
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies including attending public meetings
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Prior experience with TxDOT schematic and PS&E design standards
  • Expertise in text-based engineering documentation (e.g. memos technical letters RFI responses)
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading project teams
  • Familiarity with GIS cost estimating and program/project management tools
