Job Description

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose California building an allelectric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing manufacturing and operating an allelectric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What Youll Do

Conduct development and verification for certifiable safety critical software components of the aircraft motor control system software.
Participate in the definition and documentation of streamlined software development and verification processes supporting the certification of safety critical software to comply with DO178C.
Work with systems engineers to decompose item requirements into highlevel and lowlevel software requirements in compliance with DO178C.
Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop integrate verify and certify complex hardware/software systems.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Firmware Engineer Motor Control Engineer Embedded Software Engineer Aerospace Software Engineer Controls Engineer or a related occupation or job title in which 7 years of experience with Software/Firmware engineering and at least 1 year of experience with Electric Engine Control Development or DO178 was gained. Concurrently earned experience is acceptable.
