Our Electronic WarfareSystems group creates some of the most advance radar protection systems in the world. As a Senior Production Associates Mechanical assembler you will be part of the team that creates and tests these stateoftheart systems. You will perform a variety of tasks insupportof designing developing and testing new systems. You will work in a laboratoryenvironmentusing mechanical skills including soldering handinstrumentsto tighten fasteners and microscopes toinspectsmall components and assemblies. You will work with Process Engineers or other experienced personnel who willhelptrain you in key processes and techniques. To be successful Youwill follow written work instructions work well with teammates andsupportpersonnel from multipleorganizations. You will be required to sitfor extended periods of time.

The exact work shift is negotiable but training will occur during the first shift for several months or until after all security clearances and initial training has been completed (up to a year). This is a fulltime (minimum 40 hours per week) position. You must be able to workovertimeoccasionally during the week or onweekendsasrequiredtosupportcustomerdemands.

What You Will Do

  • Perform mechanical assembly and soldering as required
  • Utilize a microscope and handheldinstrumentslike soldering iron tweezers screw drivers and torque wrenches for assemble of products.
  • Transportup to 20lbs and manipulate items while sitting or standing lifting walking and pushing carts throughout facility.
  • Perform repetitive motions thatinvolvetightening screws and other tasks associated with assembly work.
  • Use a computer to access work instructions time keeping perform data entry and complete online training asrequired.
  • Wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety glasses smock and gloves as needed for assembly on manufacturing/production floor.
  • Obtain and maintain additional program access as required

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically Requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience utilizing a microscope and handheldinstrumentslike soldering iron tweezers screw drivers and torque wrenches for assembly of products.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in an engineeringenvironment reading andcreatingto engineering prints for mechanical assembly and schematic diagrams for wiring assemblies.
  • Knowledgeof Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD) and reduction/prevention methods.
  • Experience handling electrostatic discharge (ESD)sensitiveitems.
  • Previous training and/or certifications in soldering FOD and ESD protection.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) assemblies.
  • Knowledge and experience with aircraft or military quality requirements.
  • Experience specifically in mechanical assembly and soldering.
