Job Description
Job Title: Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Industrial)
Location: 12200 Lafayette Center Rd Roanoke IN 46783
Shift: 3rd Shift Tuesday Saturday 10:30 PM 7:00 AM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at a large industrial facility in Roanoke Indiana. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining repairing and troubleshooting mechanical systems and equipment essential to daily operations. Ideal candidates will hold a valid Journeyman license in a relevant mechanical trade such as millwright pipefitting plumbing or HVAC and have experience in industrial facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and industrial equipment

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with piping HVAC systems hydraulic/pneumatic systems and rotating machinery

Install and align machinery and equipment per manufacturer specifications

Fabricate weld and assemble mechanical components as needed

Read and interpret mechanical drawings blueprints and technical manuals

Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety policies and relevant codes

Collaborate with electricians technicians and production staff to minimize equipment downtime
Requirements:
-
Valid Journeyman license in one of the following trades: Millwright Pipefitter Plumber HVAC or equivalent

4 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with pumps conveyors HVAC systems and hydraulics

Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools

Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights or in confined spaces

Must pass a background check and drug screening

Reliable transportation and strong attendance required
