Job Description

takealot a leading South African online retailer is looking for a Account Manager Advertising to join our Takealot Group Advertising team in Cape Town.We are a young dynamic hyper growth company looking for smart creative hardworking people to join us. This position reports to theLead Sales Specialist

Your responsibilities will include:

Driving the adoption and usage of Takealots selfserviceadvertising platform for Sponsored Advertising; byMarketplace sellers
For selfservice analyse sales metrics and advertising data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Provide sellers with clear datadriven insights andrecommendations.
Build media plans for toptier spending sellers and identify opportunities for upselling additional services oradvertising solutions.
Coordinate the collection of assets needed for designersto create and execute campaigns.
Manage the integration of all booked advertisingcampaigns into the marketing calendar ensuring theyare communicated to retail marketing managers anddelivered effectively and on schedule.
Supervise billing and payment processes to ensureaccuracy and timeliness.
Monitor campaign performance through tracking reportsshare results with clients and maintain a portfoliodocumenting campaign .
Consistently meet and surpass advertising sales targetsfor the platform
Assist in development of promotional material andcontent to encourage adoption of the platform byMarketplace Sellers
Provide support to Marketplace Account Managers toencourage usage of the advertising platform by their KeyAccounts and problem solve issues with these accounts
Implement new seller acquisition strategies
Collect feedback from sellers about the advertisingplatform and provide useful insights to further enhancethe platform
Collaborate with the CRM team to build case studies ofthe successful usage of the tools and develop materialfor sellers to drive adoption/retention/growth
Contribute to the development and/or hosting ofeducational webinars to train users on performancemetrics insights and how to drive greater results
Escalate any operational platform issues to the technicalteams to resolve

Qualification Competencies & Experience:

Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma
If the degree/diploma qualification requirement isnt metat least 5 years of account managementexperience/exposure (through projects orresponsibilities will be required
3 years experience in B2B software or advertising sales (account management)
Digital Marketing Advertising and Sales experience (must have)
ECommerce experience is advantageous but notrequired
Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve salestargets
Strong track record of internal and external relationship management
