About the Program:
The Moodys Ratings and Research Support (RRS) Working Student position offers current students an opportunity to develop skills that are valuable to any future career in the financial services industry. This will be an internally facing role reporting to a Team Manager. Working student opportunities are offered to current students who wish to work parttime either full days or several half days
Working Students complete project work determined by their team that have real impact fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Participants will gain insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company

Skills and Competencies

Able to commit at least 3 workdays per week

Good accounting or statistics background (e.g. through coursework CFA (or equivalent) may be required for some but not all teams

Strong analytical skills

Proficient in MS Excel Word and PowerPoint

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and handle workflow to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly

Strong organizational skills analytical thinking and attention to detail

Education

Students matriculating through college studying towards a Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification or a Masters Degree in Finance Accounting Economics Political Economy International Relations Statistics or another quantitative field

Key Responsibilities

Supporting Analytical teams as needed. Examples of analytical work may include:

Provide daytoday analytical and research support to the rating teams

Contribute to various projects including research data and process related projects

Collect data and identify trends to support wellthoughtout credit conclusions

Prepare financial documents charts and presentations

Responsible for monitoring media outlets for news regarding special projects or portfolios

Contribute to the creation of highquality research publications

About the team

The RRS working student role involves providing analytical and research support to rating teams contributing to projects and research reports. Ideal candidates are college students with strong analytical skills proficiency in MS Office and the ability to work independently.
