Summary
We are seeking a visionary and proactive leader with a strong biopharmaceutical background to oversee and expand our Credit and NonCredit Biotechnology training programs. This position directs and manages the planning budgeting reporting and overall operations of our biotechnology offerings including oversight of the upgrade to our BIOSWE (BIO Simulated Work Environment). The Director will ensure that these programs meet current and future industry needs adhere to regulatory standards and effectively prepare learners for careers in biomanufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.

Strategic Leadership

Program Administration
Manage all biotechnology and bioprocessing courses including therecruitmentand hiring offulltime andparttime instructors.
Oversee class setup scheduling and coordination to ensure efficient delivery of training aligned with current andanticipatedbiopharmaceutical industry standards.
Instruction & Supervision
Supervise fulltime and parttime faculty ensuring effective instruction and compliance with institutional and industry guidelines.
Teach at least one course per semester to stay connected to classroom practices and emerging industry trends.
Student Engagement
Serve as the primary resource for prospective and current students guiding them through program inquiries course selections and career pathways.
Oversee andfacilitateinformation sessions to increase program visibility and enrollment.
Operational Coordination
Monitor andmaintainlaboratory equipment and supplies ensuring compliance with biopharmaceutical quality and safety standards (e.g. cGMP GLP).
Collaborate with Customized Training teams to develop and deliver specialized training programs for industry partners.
Industry Partnerships & Outreach
Actively engage with biomanufacturing pharmaceutical and other life sciences organizations to form andmaintainstrategic partnerships.
Work closely with existing industry partners to assess their workforce needs and codevelop customized training solutions.
Market and promote biotechnology programs to the public K12 institutions and relevant professional groups.
Curriculum Development
Partner with faculty to create or revise courses reflecting the latest biopharmaceutical processes technologies and regulatory guidelines.
Remain informed of new developments in biotechnology such as cell and gene therapy biologics and advanced manufacturing.
Advisory Board Management
Lead the Advisory Board to ensure continuous program quality and relevance.
Leverage board insights and industry forecasts to align curricula with immediate and future workforce needs.
Administrative Leadership
Develop and manage departmental budgets ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
Prepare annual and longrange plans that align with institutional goals and meet evolving industry standards.
Compile andsubmitrequired reportsmaintainingcompliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Institutional Collaboration
Contribute to committees and task forcesrepresentingthe biotechnology departments interests andleveragingcrossdepartmental synergies.
Maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders toidentifyand develop new continuing education opportunities.
Professional Development
Participate in professional organizations workshops and conferences tomaintaincurrent certifications and industry knowledge.
Encourage andfacilitateongoing learning opportunities for staff and faculty.
Additional Duties

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications:
Education Minimum:Masters degree from an accredited fouryear institution or an equivalent combination of education and significant biopharmaceutical industry experience.
