Special Education Administrator licensure will be given to those candidates who present evidence of administrative experience in the field of special commitment to diversity ensuring all students have access to the highest quality instruction and closing the achievement in designing and implementing Individualized Educational Programs standardsbased instruction data driven progress monitoring as well as crafting attainable and individualized special education goals and transition time and resources effectively with a focus on organizational skills and flexible communication of the needs of a diverse population of students with disabilities including but not limited to intellectual impairments autism spectrum disorders social/emotional needs multiple disabilities and behavioral TO:Executive Director/Asst Executive DirectorEVALUATION:Per NRC Personnel Policies & Procedures Handbook DESE Professional RESPONSIBILITIES:A. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESCommunicate effectively with school district/Local Education Agency (LEA) representatives in the scheduling and facilitation of evaluations and Team meetings based upon student Individualized Education Program (IEP) and track North River Collaborative (NRC) student IEP timelines to ensure compliance with all requirements collaboration with special education teachers and related service providers organize the completion of all IEP documents throughout the IEP Team meeting process while maintaining compliance with the required the completion of assigned progress reports on a term or trimester basis with the support of the teachers and program IEP team meetings take notes and maintain all documents according to the district and collaborative requirements for the district and collaborative student professional development and as needed support to staff in the completion of progress reports and IEP documents to ensure an individualized and highquality representation of the needs of the student and their strive for the least restrictive environment and individual tailoring of services to meet student appropriate suggestions for accommodations and/or modifications to the students education current with Federal and State regulations and provide knowledge in the understanding and interpretation of DESE Parent Notice of Procedural staff and prepare/create materials to ensure a positive and organized image of NRC programs is conveyed at Team meetings. Maintain appropriate documentation of communication with all Team members (formal and informal).Actively maintain twoway communication with parent/guardian for any questions or concerns pertaining to their childs knowledge of appropriate grade level curriculum intervention curriculums/tools and researchbased methods available at assigned program knowledge of district programming and available communication among onsite school staff and administrators LEAs outside service providers etc. regarding the IEP process and and provide feedback on IEPs prior to delivery for LEA signature. B. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENTAssist in planning for leading attending and participating in collaborativewide inservice training programs and/or specific Team chairperson training as appropriate. Participate in or lead staff meetings as required in partnership with program leaders. C. HEALTH AND SAFETYRespond to the needs of individual students so as to enhance their social/emotional health and personal to situations in a culturally proficient manner taking into account a whole student to move with reasonable speed and physically assist students during any emergency drills or actual emergencies. D. ETHICALMaintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about professional attitudes and productive relationships with other staff and parents and other professionals with constructively to feedback and goal oriented coaching.
