Job Description

FrontLine Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Manager

The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Manager for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC3 in Huntsville AL. This manager will be responsible for engineering integration across PAC3s Programs and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) by leading Project and Systems Engineers.

The IAMD Engineering team is responsible for designing Radar seeker upgrades and next generation concepts as well as supporting production and special test equipment design. This program simultaneously engages in all aspects of the system development lifecycle including concurrent design test and manufacturing and the leader in this role will support each of these lifecycle areas through systems engineering . This longterm program is rapidly growing in Huntsville due to design updates production growth and Boeing facilities consolidations.

A successful SE&I Manager will be responsible for the technical quality and successful of engineering priorities and projects for both IPTs and Program management. The manager will oversee project engineers representing multiple skill areas and will plan identify and coordinate metrics and resources required to support the growing demands for PAC3 production and development efficiency. Additionally they will develop and implement the engineering strategy and processes for the team under their responsibility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Daytoday direction of a team of SE&I project engineers to include management development and motivation of employees.
  • Responsible for engineering integrity and excellence of all engineering and technical activities of the SE&I project engineering team.
  • Integration of the SE&I project engineers activities with the other engineering disciplines and PAC3 program stakeholders.
  • Setting clear priorities to meet customer/stakeholder and business goals.
  • Responsible for management of staffing levels performance evaluations performance development and career counseling.
  • Responsible for deploying Boeing Engineering Initiatives and best practices as appropriate for improved quality and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.

  • Excellent communications skills verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management customers and partners.
  • Master of Science in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous management experience.

  • Previous experience in leading mentoring and engaging individuals and teams.
  • Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance.

Security Clearance:

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
