Job Description:

Our team is looking for a senior contracts professional with indepth expertise in their field and a broad understanding of project management. Oversees and manages complex projects or processes with general supervision. Collaborates across functions to gain support for operational processes practices and procedures. Drives moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes contributing directly to departmental goals and impacting overall results.
This role will support the management of key contracts and initiatives for the organization applying knowledge of regulations such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with proposal preparation precontract data collection and the administration extension and negotiation of standard government contracts including subcontracts under government prime contracts.

Essential Functions:
Preparing negotiating and administering a large volume of contracts of various types for a variety of customers.
Reviewing RFQs; preparing quotes including change proposals; performing associated negotiation and defining activities.
Ensuring contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies legal requirements customer specifications FAR DFAR and ITAR.
Performing risk assessment of contract terms and conditions; formulating and executing strategies to minimize potential risks to the business.
Working with customers management and program teams to resolve issues secure approvals and ensure successful contract .
Serving as point of contact for the customer during all phases of a program.
Generating and maintaining contract documentation.
Knowledge of FAR and DFARS required and functional knowledge of ERP systems input and report generation.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Ability to travel up to 15 as needed.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Extensive knowledge and handson experience with FAR and DFARS regulations.
Proven experience in reviewing RFPs preparing proposals negotiating definitizing and administering DoD contracts.
Skilled in risk assessment of proposals and contract terms with strategies to mitigate potential risks to the business.
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of company management.
Strong experience in building relationships with Government customers and other external organizations.
Expertise in problemsolving with innovative solutions based on prior experience.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex and sensitive topics in formal letters emails and verbal exchanges.
Experience managing complex projects or processes with a high degree of responsibility.
Ability to collaborate across functions addressing problems that require multidisciplinary input.
