Job Description

MSAD #53 Manson Park & Vickery Schools are looking to find a dynamic individual to work as a school counselor for Grades PK4 for the 202526 school year. The school counselor will work closely with students families teachers and staff to foster a positive school climate and culture implement Second Step strategies and provide individual and group support. Key Responsibilities: Teach guidance classes to grade levels 13 throughout the week. Support Second Step socialemotional lessons language and strategies. Provide socialemotional support through individual and small group counseling and checkins. Implement positive behavior supports and promote a positive school climate. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success. Assist students with building advocacy conflict resolution and coping strategies. Crisis assessment and management. Support attendance initiatives and student engagement efforts. Partner with families and community organizations to meet student needs.
