How youll contribute
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our growing construction company at our corporate headquarters in Omaha NE. As the head of our Human Resources team you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the employee experience developing comprehensive strategies for attracting recruiting onboarding training retaining top talent and standardizing performance management. Your leadership will drive the development of strategic initiatives ensuring alignment with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement organizational strategies to optimize the employee experience and align talent initiatives with the companys growth objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on talent management workforce planning and organizational development.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees fostering a culture of excellence and engagement.
Team Leadership
  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the Human Resources department.
  • Foster a culture of timely constructive performance feedback guiding department team members toward continued improvement and professional development.
  • Lead organizational design efforts ensuring the organization has the necessary resources and structure to achieve company goals.
Talent Acquisition
  • Oversee processes for attracting recruiting and hiring top talent in alignment with business needs and company culture.
  • Build and execute innovative onboarding programs to integrate new hires effectively and ensure longterm engagement.
  • Partner with internal leaders to enhance the Boyd Jones employment brand through avenues such as social media campus presence and community involvement.
Employee Experience
  • Ensure a robust employee feedback loop consisting of engagement surveys engagement action planning and employee communication.
  • Design and map out the employee experience journey for each job category ensuring a seamless and fulfilling experience at every stage.
  • Create and implement standardized performance management systems to drive empowerment accountability and growth.
  • Design retention strategies to maintain a highperforming workforce including initiatives to address employee feedback and career growth.
Talent Development
  • Architect and monitor the organizations talent strategy and ensure ongoing alignment to company growth goals.
  • Develop and lead a companywide training and development program to enhance skills career progression and leadership capabilities.
  • Identify and partner with external vendors to supplement internal resources in the areas of behavioral assessments coaching and leadership development.
Change Management and Continuous Improvement
  • Lead efforts to standardize and streamline Human Resources processes across the organization.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through regular review and enhancement of Human Resources programs and practices.
  • Partner with leadership to guide the organization through change ensuring alignment and minimizing disruption.
Operations and Compliance
  • Ensure Human Resources operations policies and practices are efficient scalable and fully compliant with local state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and manage compensation benefits and employee recognition programs.
  • Monitor Human Resources metrics and analyze data to inform decisionmaking and measure the impact of talent initiatives.
What youll bring
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field; advanced degree or Human Resources certification (e.g. SHRMSCP SPHR) is a plus.
  • 10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing talent strategies that support business growth.
  • Exceptional communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Practical knowledge of Human Resources operations compliance and best practices.
  • Experience with Human Resources technologies and systems is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a related field is preferred.
