The purpose of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO)is to ensure costeffective and timely delivery of quality capital works projects for TasWater that will meet the needs of TasWaters business their stakeholders and the communities of Tasmania for years to come. The TasWater CDO manages the TasWater Capital Works Program from inception to completion including the planning design procurement and delivery phases.

We are proud of our great team here at TasWater (CDO) and are on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Contract Administrator who will provide commercial financial and contractual support during the performance of projects.

This exciting role is a fulltime fixedterm parental leave replacement position and can be based in Hobart or Launceston.

About the role:

  • Understand implement and monitor the various document control registers as required.
  • Produce and compile tender documentation including ITT RFQ scope of works (Identify and delineate scope that extracts greatest value for money and utilises the supply chain most efficiently) design documentation Specs health and safety requirements and contractual terms including clear pricing and payment mechanism.
  • SAP input and maintenance of purchase orders including goods receipt journals and queries.
  • Reconcile data from accounts department with site records.
  • Maintain systems and procedures for contractual requirements.
  • Support end of month process as required.

What you will have:

  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously set and meet deadlines and followthrough within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands
  • Experience of SAP Software / accounting and associated reporting desirable.
