Job Description

Assistant Automotive Parts Manager
Location: Washington Court House OH 43160

John Hinderer Ford is currently seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Assistant Automotive Parts Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in an automotive parts department who is ready to take the next step toward management.

In this role youll support the daily operations of our fastpaced Parts Department working closely with the Parts Manager to ensure efficient workflow toptier customer service and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with supervising daily operations in the Parts Department including ordering inventory management and customer service.

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure orders meet required inventory and manufacturer compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to fulfill parts requests accurately and efficiently.

  • Communicate with vendors for part availability order status returns and warranty processing.

  • Accurately process invoices and maintain documentation per company procedures.

  • Help train and support parts staff in procedures policies and customer service.

  • Track and minimize obsolete inventory.

  • Ensure a clean organized and compliant parts department.

  • Manage department operations in the absence of the Parts Manager.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing training.

  • Maintain accurate fluid inventory and proper material billing to repair orders.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2 years of experience in an automotive parts department.

  • Previous leadership or team support experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with inventory systems and computer tools.

  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Schedule

  • Fulltime 810 hour shifts

  • Monday through Friday with weekend availability
