Job Description
TPF Recruitment is supporting a growing firm of chartered accountants in Eastbourne in their search for an Assistant Manager (General Practice) to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a firm that is experiencing rapid growth with exciting prospects for career development and progression.
This position is suited to someone with a strong background in general practice who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will play a key role in managing client relationships overseeing the delivery of accounting and tax services and supporting the firm s ongoing success.
About the Role:
- As an Assistant Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors
- Reviewing accounts tax returns and VAT returns prepared by junior staff
- Preparing more complex accounts and tax computations
- Providing strategic advice and support to clients on their business and tax affairs
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients building and maintaining strong working relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Assisting with workflow management and ensuring deadlines are met
- Supporting partners in the ongoing development of the firm and its services
Requirements
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with a background in UK accountancy practice
- Solid experience in general practice including accounts preparation tax compliance and client management
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is desirable
