Job Description
Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Urgent Care Clinic
Location: Maple Grove MN
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM) 72 hours per two-week pay period including rotating weekends
Start Date: May 19 2025
Pay Range: $22.23 – $27.37 per hour depending on experience
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
About the Role
A Certified Medical Assistant is needed for an urgent care clinic located in Maple Grove MN. This position supports day-to-day clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced setting that serves patients of all ages. The role involves direct patient care assisting with procedures administering medications and immunizations and providing support at the front desk as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Room patients and accurately document clinical data

Administer injections immunizations and medications as directed

Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens

Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers

Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations

Cover front desk duties and ensure exam rooms are stocked and organized

Follow clinic protocols for safety regulatory compliance and documentation

Participate in ongoing training skill development and competency reviews
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
-
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Active certification as a Medical Assistant (required)

BLS certification (required)

Prior clinical experience (required)

Successful completion of x-ray operator’s exam or willingness to obtain (clinic-dependent)

Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and multitasking in a high-volume environment
