Kindles mission is to inspire the world to read more and get more out of reading and writing by creating devices and experiences that fit customers lifestyles and empower their passion for literature learning and culture.
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to partner with the global Kindle business inside Amazons Devices Division. As a Financial Analyst you will partner directly with the Kindle team to provide a full range of financial services for the product line including controllership multiyear financial views annual operating plans near term forecasts and analysis for future products. As a member of the Kindle financial team you will directly influence key business decisions including pricing promotional strategies and program economics.
Key job responsibilities
As a Financial Analyst you will work directly with business leaders to identify opportunities and provide key insights. Job responsibilities include:
Compile and review financial results and operational plans and communicate results to leadership.
Drive the financial planning / budgeting process.
Lead key analytical projects that assist and influence the business.
Develop business insights and KPI dashboards.
This role requires a selfstarter with a passion for developing a team a keen attention to detail and an ability to set clear priorities in a high velocity organization. The successful candidate will have shown success in influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role also has regular interaction with executives to the vice president level and business units across Amazon including international and therefore requires possession of advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
1 years of finance experience
Knowledge of standard software including Excel Access Oracle Essbase SQL and VBA skills
Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning forecasting and reporting
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
2 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Experience in TM1 Data Warehouse and SQL
Experience using data to influence business decisions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
